Look for our new Virtual Learning Opportunities!

We’ve heard your feedback, and we’re expanding our virtual learning opportunities! Here’s what’s on tap:

Over the next several months, our regular webinar series will be highlighting ways communities are addressing social and economic factors with topics including:

  • Reducing student instability and its causes;
  • Creating opportunities for youth who are not in school or employed;
  • Addressing poverty in rural communities;
  • Working toward a living wage.

For each of these learning opportunities, we’ll look at how data can help you understand issues in your community, strategies from What Works for Health that communities have implemented, and we’ll highlight a community working in that area.

In addition to our webinars, we are pleased to offer a new, small-group virtual learning opportunity: interactive discussion groups! The week after each webinar, join an hour-long video conference session to take a deeper dive into the topic and connect with others across the county who are thinking about and working on these issues. These facilitated discussions will serve as a forum where you can ask for and inform others about key resources and tools, share your successes, ask for input and insights from other communities, and collaborate with likeminded participants. Anyone registered for the webinar is invited to attend. If you haven’t checked them out yet, be sure to do so. Note that space is limited.
